The progress of society and human history has relied not only on the collective efforts of all but also on the insight and achievements of exceptional individuals.
The Kyung-Ahm Education & Culture Foundation recognizes the creative and dedicated contributions of scholars, professionals, and artists who have advanced our society through research and cultural endeavors.
To honor their outstanding achievements, inspire future generations, and promote academic and artistic excellence, the foundation established the Kyung-Ahm Prize.
Each year, laureates in the fields of humanities and social sciences, natural sciences, life sciences, and engineering receive a monetary award. What makes this prize particularly meaningful is that it is funded entirely through the endowment of Mr. Geum-jo Song, the foundation’s chairperson, who built his fortune over a lifetime of unwavering diligence and frugality.
