Sponsorship Program for

KSME (Korean Society of Mechanical Engineers)Student Creative Design Competition

To enrich human resources in the field of engineering, the Kyung-Ahm Education & Culture Foundation has sponsored the KSME Student Creative Design Competition since 2013. The competition has been organized by the Korean Society of Mechanical Engineers since 2011, with the purpose to improve design techniques and unleashing the creativity of both undergraduate and graduate students.

Upon receiving the foundation's sponsorship in 2013, the competition widened its eligibility, allowing not only undergraduate and graduate students but also high school students to participate. In addition, the competition has adopted an overarching theme, "Warm Technology to Solve Social Problems." Thus, each year's competition motivates the participants to work on a specific kind of design, such as a mechanical system that facilitates the everyday life of the old and the disabled.

Winners receive a certificate of award, a plaque, and prize money. Top winners are also given the opportunity to participate in an international competition for creative design.
